Birmingham Wheels - 5th June 2011 . Entry closes 22nd May - 9pm

Birmingham Wheels Roller Speed Skating Club are pleased to announce that an Inline Speed Skating Race Day is being held at their Adderley Park Race circuit on Sunday, 5th une 2011.

This will be another opportunity for spectators to view the best of inline speed skating taking place at a purpose built race track.

It will also be an ideal opportunity for recreational skaters both inline and quad as well as novices and learners to taste the thrills and excitement of roller speed skating for themselves.

The races for licensed skaters are at various distances from 400 metre to 10Km, of Category 1 through to Category 7, for various age groups from six years upwards.

There will be a number of RAT races throughout the afternoon for unlicensed skaters, for which a charge of £2 (GBP) will be payable on the day to cover insurance. RAT Races are open to recreational, novice and learners skaters of all ages who have their own inline or quad skates. Whilst both inline and quad skaters are welcome to take part in these RAT Races, it should be considered that inline blades tend to be faster than quad skates.

There is ample FREE car parking available and light refreshments will be available during the afternoon.
